Konnichiwa everyone! My name is Jim Atwood and I'm originally from Seattle, Washington USA. I grew up right in the middle of the Seattle Grunge scene as a graduate from the University of Washington. Jimi Hendrix (originally from Seattle) and then later the Grunge scene put Seattle on the music map. Later I moved to Japan where I have been living and Rocking out in Japan for almost 19 years. I've lived in Yokohama, Tokyo, and now in 長野市 Nagano-city, Japan. I am a practicing and peforming musician who collects vintage synthesizer gear and likes to meet with other musicians. I play guitar, keyboards, drums, bass, and currently teach both guitar and synthesizers to young kids and adults. I also have a lot of musician friends residing in the 長野市 Nagano-city area and am quite well known among the staff at music stores and other schools. 
長野市 Nagano city, Japan has a great music scene but it is largely underground. My goal is to bring it to the surface a little more. If you are a Japanese or Foreign musician living in Nagano-city Japan and would like to meet, jam or be apart of the Nagano-city School of Rock, please contact me. Our door is always open to all musicians. Instruction and jam sessions are usually in English, but I also speak Japanese fluently so either language is great. Rock on and stay "in tune"!
